Latin America Action Tour - A.G.I.S. Project (South Korea)
The concept of this project is re-cognizing of the site-specificity (political history, society, culture, etc) and the temporality between Latin America and Korea by art action. This project aims making the neo-network for non-be silent about our epoch of artist and activist with Latin America. "We are everywhere!"
Este proyecto se extiende desde el 1 de noviembre al 2 de diciembre en Chile, Argentina, Uruguay y Brasil. Es realizado con el aporte de cuatro curadores: Gonzalo Rabanal (Chile), Silvio De Gracia (Argentina), Maru Vidal (Uruguay) y Daniela Labra (Brasil).
El proyecto lo integran 9 artistas: KIM Kang, KIM Youn Hoan, JUNG Jung Yeub, LEE Ho Seok, SON Min Ah, PARK Ji Won, BAEK Mi Ra. Co-Directores del proyecto: KIM Kang & KIM Youn Hoan
Artists from Latin America Action Tour – A.G.I.S Project
Artista feminista. Trabaja en pintura, performance e instalación. Desde los años 80 ha sido miembro de “Durung”, un grupo de artistas que conectan el arte y las políticas de democratización. Desde 1986 a 1994 participó en un grupo de investigación feminista y en el 2000 fundó un grupo de activismo feminista llamado “IPGIM”. Sus pinturas han sido presentadas en numerosas exhibiciones, incluyendo The Offering Table: Mujeres Activistas de Corea, en 2008, en el Mills College Art Museum de Oakland, California.
She is a feminist Artist. He works in painting, performance and installation. Since the 1980s she has been a member of <Durung >which is an artist’s group that connects art and the politics of democratization. From 1986 to 1994 she participated in a feminist art research group, and she founded a feminist activist group called <IPGIM> in 2000. Her paintings have been shown in a number of exhibitions, including The Offering Table: Activist Women from Korea in 2008 at Mills College Art Museum in Oakland California.
Artista visual. Performance, instalación, videoarte. Mantiene una perspectiva crítica sobre el Neo-Capitalismo y la Globalización. Ha sido invitado a diversas exhibiciones y festivales, incluyendo el intercambio “Global Priority” en el Espacio POOL en Seúl, en 2004; la Bienal de Busan en Corea, en 2006, y “2nd Peace Project: Vietnam y Corea” en la ciudad HO Chi Minh, en Vietnam, en 2007. Participó en 100 Horas de Acción contra el Tratado de Libre Comercio entre Corea y Estados Unidos en 2006.

He has been invited to a variety of exhibitions and festivals, including the exchange exhibition <Global Priority> at Alternative Space POOL in Seoul in 2004, the Busan Biennale in Korea in 2006, and the <2nd Peace Project: Vietnam and Korea> in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam in 2007. He participated in a 100 hour action against the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement in 2006.
Artista visual, performance, instalación, organizadora de proyectos públicos. Estudió en la Universidad de Bellas Artes de Berlín y se graduó en Meisterschueler. Ha realizado exhibiciones individuales y proyectos en Alemania y Corea. Ha sido artista en residencia en The National Art Studio Korea (2007-2008) y ha participado en el New Start Program del ART COUNCIL KOREA. Es miembro de <Urban Art Band LAB39> en Seúl, un espacio para la presentación de proyectos de arte experimental y urbano.
Visual artist, performance, installation, public project manager. She studied Fine Art at the University of Fine Arts Berlin and graduated in Meisterschueler. She has had solo exhibitions and Projects in Germany and Korea. She has been artist in residence at The National Art Studio Korea (2007-2008) and an artist at the New Start Program of ART COUNCIL KOREA. She is a member of <Urban Art Band LAB39> in Seoul which is a project space for the presentation of urban and experimental art projects and a researcher of <Art &Urbanity research center> in Seoul.
PARK Ji Won
Videodocumentalista. Fotográfo. Ha realizado films documentales y fotos sobre la vida cotidiana de los nativos durante sus viajes por India, Nepal y el Sudeste asiático. En este proceso, encuentra su tema principal, “la gente”, especialmente en las culturas y razas minoritarias. PARK busca que su arte juegue un rol crítico frente a las situaciones impuestas por el capitalismo y la globalización. Ha trabajado en el proyecto de intercambio entre Corea y Vietnam, "1st Peace Project: Vietnam and Korea - Pace on the peace" y ha participado de la comunidad de arte "GyeSu dong Project" en Corea.
Video Documentary, Photo. He making some documentary film and photos with daily lives of local people during travelling India, Nepal and Southeast Asia. In this process, He finds his major theme, "people", especially in the minority race and culture. He want his art work to play a role of bringing the critical situation by capitalism and globalism home to people and to reflect their own lives's way in the speedy development and changes. He has worked in the project for the art exchange between Korea and Vietnam, "1st Peace Project: Vietnam and Korea - Pace on the peace" and he participated a community art project "GyeSu dong Project" in Korea.

Co- directores de Project Space <LAB39> y <Latin America Action Tour Project - A.G.I.S> Trabajan juntos desde 1994. Su trabajo comienza con el contexto social y el objetivo de subvertir las funciones convencionales del arte. En 2004, organizaron <OASIS Project> un proyecto de artistas squatters. OASIS llegó a ser un importante punto de referencia para el arte activista en Corea. Un documental sobre OASIS Project fue televisado por Art Television (ARTE) en Francia y Alemania en 2005. Ambos artistas fundaron el <Art &Urbanity research center> en Seúl y comenzaron el <Mullae Project> con la comunidad <Lab39> Han sido invitados a numerosos festivales y exhibiciones alrededor del mundo y han organizado diversos festivales y proyectos de arte.

They work begin with social context and aims to subvert conventional functions of art. In 2004, they organized the <OASIS Project> an artists' squatters project. OASIS drew attention to the relationship between property ownership and the larger social structure, and has become an important reference point for activist art in Korea. A documentary on OASIS Project was televised on Art Television (ARTE) in France and Germany in 2005.
They founded the <Art &Urbanity research center> in Seoul and started the <Mullae Project> with <Lab39> community. They invited several exhibitions and festivals on the world and they organized several art festival and art project.
